Contributions of alcohol use to teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection rates
The North West Public Health Observatory have released the ‘Contributions of alcohol use to teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection rates’ report.
Using geo-demographic analyses across England, it identifies overlapping ‘hotspots’ of risk behaviour in young people and provides evidence of relationships between alcohol use and both teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. The results support the urgent need for integrated approaches to health services for young people.
We hope that this intelligence will be valuable to you locally.
